Electrical & Aerospace Engineer

Jonah Menzies

Final-year Engineering student at QUT with a second major in Software Engineering. I build autonomous systems, write embedded software, and solve problems where hardware meets code.

I'm a final-year Electrical and Aerospace Engineering student at Queensland University of Technology, with a second major in Software Engineering. I'm currently completing my Honours capstone researching cooperative multi-UAV formation control using differential game theory.

The work I enjoy most is the kind where hardware, software, and engineering theory all have to come together under real constraints. Whether that's writing Python guidance code for an autonomous drone, programming embedded microcontrollers, or designing electronics, I'm at my best when the engineering actually has to work.

Outside of engineering, I captain a cricket team at Southport Labrador Cricket Club, serve as Treasurer of the Gold Coast Chess Club, drink too much coffee, and spend more time than I should tinkering with electronics projects at home.
